The course aims at raising awareness about the new internal financial control system of the country. Sharing best international-local practices and experiences in internal audit as Good Governance. The course provides information about the essence, roots, approaches, methodology, activities and implementation of internal audit. The listeners develop practical skills for the benefit of internal audit and for bringing additional value for the success of public institutions.

• Reform of internal financial control system and stages of development of Georgian public administration;
• "Association Agreement" with the EU, Article 279 "Public Financial Management and Financial Control";
• The role of country's internal control department (harmonization center) of the Ministry of Finance in effective administration of public finances;
• The role of internal audit in financial management and control system;
• The essence of internal audit, its importance and aims. Review of international standards;
• Implementation of internal audit in public and private sector, place of internal audit subjects, responsibilities and rights of leaders and auditors;
• The difference between internal audit and inspection (General inspection);
• Stages of internal audit implementation; Planning, implementation, reporting, monitoring;
• Review of internal audit types (effectiveness, systemic,  of informational technologies,compliance, financial);
• Internal audit planning based on risk analysis, preparation of strategic and annual plans;
• Documentation of materials of internal audit;
• Quality insurance, quality control, internal assessment of quality, external assessment of quality, supervision and monitoring, main indicators of effectiveness.

c) Representatives of national minorities are required to present documents that prove their efficiency in the state language at the B1 level. If a participant is not in possession of such a document, the individual will have to pass an appropriate language assessment exam.

GEL 50 (per day) - Includes only the course.

GEL 80 (per day) - Includes the course, hotel accommodation and full board.

A contract will be signed between the parties before the commencement of study.
